What We Believe...
GOD
There is One God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This God has revealed Himself in Scripture and in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Deut. 6:4-7; Ps. 86:8-10; Matt. 3:16-17; John 1:1; 1 John 5:6-8
THE BIBLE
The Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are God-breathed and without error. These writings constitute the Word of God and the revelation of God’s will for salvation. As Christians, we understand the Scriptures by the gospel, every book and every story points us to the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Psalm 19:7-10; Prov 30:5-6; 2 Tim 3:15-17; 2 Pet 1:19-21
THE FALL
Our first parents, Adam and Eve, though fearfully and wonderfully created in the image of God, distorted and corrupted that image by rebelling against God and rejecting His good plan for them. By their disobedience they condemned all humanity that followed to be enslaved by sin and subject to death.
Gen 1:26-28; Ps 8:4-6; Gen. 3:14-24; Eccl. 7:29; Rom 3:23, 5:12-14; Eph 2:1-2
THE GOSPEL
The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ; it is the announcement of who Jesus is and what He has done. Specifically, it is the announcement that Christ came into the world to save sinners, that He died and rose again to reconcile us to God.
1 Cor. 15:3-8; Acts 2:22-36; 1 Tim. 1:15-16; Rom. 5:18-21
JESUS CHRIST
Moved by the love which is His nature, the Eternal Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us. One person in two natures, He is fully God and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
Jn 1:1-14; 10:30; Phil 2:5-11; 1 Cor 8:6; Col 2:9
SALVATION IS BY GRACE
Everything necessary for salvation, from start to finish, has been accomplished in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation comes as a gift of God to anyone who will receive it by trusting the finished work of Christ.
Eph. 2:4-9; Rom. 3:20-26; Titus 3:4-8; Gal. 3:10-14
THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is given to every believer as a comforter and helper. The Holy Spirit is the agent of sanctification, nurturing the life of Christ implanted in us at salvation, restoring the image of God, and resulting in holiness of life.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an empowerment for witness and service, subsequent to salvation. It is given for the purpose of building up the Body of Christ through the work of ministry. The fullness of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
John 14:16-17; Rom. 5:5, 8:12-17; 1 Peter 1:14-17; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 19:1-6; 1 Cor. 12:4-11
THE CHURCH
The Church is God’s new covenant people of which Christ is the only Head. The church is manifest in local communities of believers who gather for worship, prayer, the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, and the ordinances of the gospel which are baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism, as ordained by the Lord Jesus Christ, is our entrance into the new covenant people. The Lord’s Supper is the memorial and renewal of the covenant relationship with God obtained for us by Christ.
The mission of the church is to make disciples as Jesus commanded us. We do this work by preaching and teaching and through works of love and service.
1 Cor. 1:1-3; Eph. 3:7-10; Acts 2:42-47; Matt. 16:17-19; Matt. 28:19-20; 1 Cor. 10:16, 11:23-26
THE RETURN OF CHRIST
The Lord Jesus will return personally in power and glory as He promised. He will judge the living and the dead and His Kingdom will have no end.
John 14:3; 1 Thess 5:23-24; James 5:7-8; Acts 1:9-11; Matt 16:27; Rev 21:1; 22:12

Wilderness | Lenten Series
SUNDAYS at 10:30 am
We’re calling this series Wilderness because the wilderness is a place where what sustains you disappears — beautiful, yet brutal and dangerous. Life is the same. There are seasons when we feel equipped and steady, and others when we feel overwhelmed and uncertain. Everyone walks through wilderness moments of testing and isolation. The question isn’t if you’ll face one — it’s what you’ll do when you’re there.
